FISHING:
Pymatuning has some of the best fishing in Pennsylvania. Species include; Walleye, Muskie, Perch, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, Sunfish and Carp. All species at Pymatuning Lake have open season all year-round. Walleye minimum size is 15 inches, with a daily limit of 6. Bass minimum size is 12 inches, with a daily limit of 5. Muskie minimum size is 30 inches with a daily limit of 2. All other species have no minimum size or limit.
Tournaments: There is an annual Crappie Tournament held the last Saturday in April. Prizes are $1000 - 1st place, $500 - 2nd place, $400 - 3rd place, and $300 - 4th place. There are also 2 Walleye tournaments held in May and June with Prizes being the same cash amount. There is a kids FREE Fishing Derby held annually in August.
Fishing Licenses/Bait and Tackle: There are several local stores in the area that offer all that is needed to get you out fishing, including licenses. You will need a PA license to fish from the shore at the cottages, but you can use either a PA or Ohio license anywhere on the lake in a boat.

Fishing Boat Rentals: We offer a pontoon boat and a fishing boat for rent. The pontoon boat has a new Mercury 4 stroke motor with electric start. It has a metal canopy roof, cushioned seats, table, and a fish finder on the console. The boat can easily seat 8 people. The fishing boat is a 12 foot deep V boat with a 10 HP motor .
